Plant Sterols & Stanols

Eating foods that contain plant sterols and stanols may lower your LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and total cholesterol, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol. To benefit, you should have 2g (2,000mg) daily, divided over 3 meals. You obtain maximum benefit when you consume these foods at the same time as other foods, rather than on their own.
